Hey, I’m Justin.
I’m one of the main writers here at The Goodness Well, where I help people create safer, more intentional homes through evidence-based guidance on non-toxic living and sustainable choices.
I’m a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) with a background in public health, nutrition, and health promotion. I also have hands-on healthcare experience as an EMT and medical scribe, which has shaped how I think about prevention, risk, and long-term health.
At The Goodness Well, I focus on translating complex research around materials, product safety, and everyday chemical exposure into practical steps people can actually use — especially when it comes to the products we bring into our homes.
Why I care about this work
I don’t just write about health and habit change — I live it.
Nearly a decade ago, I made major changes to my own life after struggling with addiction, obesity, and chronic health issues. Through a combination of proper nutrition, movement, and long-term behavior change, I rebuilt my health and perspective.
That experience deeply informs how I approach wellness today: less overwhelm, fewer extremes, and more intentional choices that add up over time!
