Caraway Mini Bakeware Set Review: My Experience After One Year of Real Use

We do a lot of batch cooking, so our big baking sheet gets plenty of use. But sometimes we’re only making a small batch of cookies or roasting a few veggies, and pulling out that whole tray feels unnecessary.
That’s where Caraway’s Mini Bakeware Set has been super handy!
Caraway sent us the set about a year ago, and we’ve been using it alongside our larger bakeware ever since. My oat-flour cookies have become an almost-weekly reason to pull out the little baking sheets.
After a year of baking with it, we’ve gotten to know what we like, what we barely use, and a few things we wish held up better.
What Comes in the Caraway Mini Bakeware Set?

The Mini Bakeware Set comes with two small baking sheets, a small rectangle pan, a six-cup muffin pan, and a cooling rack.
There’s also a storage organizer included to hold everything together.

You get two of the same baking sheet, each measuring 13 by 9 inches. The rectangle pan is smaller but deeper, while the muffin pan makes six muffins or cupcakes at a time.
Here are the measurements for everything in the set:
| Piece | Dimensions (L × W × H) |
|---|---|
| Small baking sheets (2) | 13 × 9 × 1 inches each |
| Small rectangle pan | 9 × 6.5 × 2 inches |
| Six-cup muffin pan | 12 × 7 × 1.5 inches |
| Small cooling rack | 13 × 9 × 1 inch |
| Storage organizer | 13.5 × 5 × 6 inches |
“Mini” refers to the size of the pans—the muffin pan still has six regular-sized cups. If you already have larger bakeware like we do, this set gives you a few smaller options without replacing what you already own.
Why We Chose Caraway: Materials and Third-Party Testing

Third-party testing is a big reason we like Caraway.
When we’re choosing something we’ll cook on regularly, we want to know what it’s made of and be able to look beyond just a “non-toxic” claim on the product page.
The pans in this set have an aluminized steel body with a ceramic nonstick coating. So, while you’ll often see them called “ceramic bakeware,” they’re metal pans with a ceramic coating rather than solid ceramic dishes.
Caraway says that coating is made without PFAS, including PTFE and PFOA.
Caraway also says independent labs test its food-contact materials, and it provides access to a Light Labs report through its third-party testing page.
We always love being able to see the testing behind the brand’s claims, as most cookware brands I come across don’t have this type of testing.
That transparency is a huge selling point for us and is one of the reasons we’d consider buying from Caraway again.
How the Pieces Perform in Our Kitchen

The Baking Sheets
The two baking sheets by far get the most use, usually once or twice a week.
I make oat-flour cookies almost weekly for my husband (they’re his favorite), so those have been a pretty consistent test over the past year.
I also used the sheets for fries, burgers, and veggies.

We haven’t noticed any uneven cooking. Our usual oven temperatures fall between 350°F and 450°F, and we haven’t had any noticeable popping or warping while they’re in the oven.
Having two smaller sheets is pretty handy.
We can use just one when we don’t have much to cook, or put both side by side in our oven when we need the extra room.
The Small Rectangle Pan
The rectangle pan comes out a few times a month, depending on what we’re making. It works well for smaller batches of certain dishes and is pretty easy to handle due to its size.
Most recently, we used it for a small batch of enchiladas, and they came out great.
It hasn’t gotten as much use as the baking sheets, but it’s still a piece we’re glad to have if we need it.
The Muffin Pan and Cooling Rack
We’ve made muffins and mini egg quiches in the six-cup pan, but honestly, we rarely pull it out.
That’s more about what we tend to cook than a complaint about the pan. Again, we like having it for the occasions we need it.
The cooling rack is something we don’t use often. We usually set the pans on the stove after baking, so we haven’t gotten into the habit of using it.
We could probably put it to work more often, but it’s the piece we could most easily do without.
Durability: The Wear We’ve Noticed
If there’s one thing we wish were better, it’s how well the finish holds up.
The undersides of our baking sheets have picked up a fair amount of scratches and wear over the past year.
There are some scratches on the baking surfaces too, but nowhere near as much as underneath.

I’ll admit though, we’re not always the most careful with our cookware!
We’ve used stainless steel and wooden utensils on them in the past when needed and probably don’t store them the most carefully.
We can’t pinpoint what caused every mark, but our handling is worth keeping in mind when looking at the photos.

The scratches on the cooking surface haven’t noticeably affected performance.
Food still releases well, and we’re happy with how the pans bake.

Even so, we’d like the finish to be a little more resilient—especially when the bottoms look this worn after about a year.

Size, Handling, and Storage
The smaller size is probably one of our favorite things about this set.
We love our big baking sheet for batch cooking, but we don’t need that much space every time. Sometimes a little pan is plenty, and it means less surface to clean or less parchment paper to pull off the roll.
These pieces are also really easy to handle. They are very lightweight when we’re moving them around the kitchen, which is something we appreciate even more when there’s food in them.
As for the included organizer, it does organize the pieces well but we might have only used it once or twice.
We tend to keep our bakeware in the oven or the storage drawer underneath, and that’s the habit we’ve stuck with.
Caraway vs. Our Great Jones Holy Sheet

We’ve also been using the Great Jones Holy Sheet for at least six months, and we’ve been happy with both.
Neither has given us much to complain about when it comes to cooking, so we don’t have a clear favorite based on performance.

We do reach for the Holy Sheet more often because we batch cook a lot, and its larger size suits that. The smaller Caraway sheets come out when we don’t need all that room.
For us, they’ve been useful for different amounts of food.
We wouldn’t replace our big sheet with this mini set, but we like having both.
Would We Buy the Caraway Mini Bakeware Set Again?
Yes—we’d buy this set with our own money.
The baking sheets and rectangle pan have earned their place in our kitchen, and we like having the other pieces available even if they don’t get used nearly as often.
We could do without the cooling rack, but we’d still choose the whole set.
The wear is our biggest hesitation. We wish the finish were more resilient, and the scratches are worth seeing before you decide whether it’s for you. But they haven’t changed how the pans perform in our kitchen, so they haven’t put us off using them.
If you mostly cook large batches, you might get more use out of a bigger sheet. For us, this set fills those smaller cooking jobs nicely.
A year later, we’re still pulling the pans out regularly—and that’s a good reason to keep them around.
